Plot Summary:

After a decade abroad, Dublin-born journalist Peter Lennon returned to Ireland to survey the modern landscape, and the resulting 1967 documentary captures a populace firmly under the thumb of the church yet on the brink of violent upheaval. Virtually unseen at its release, the restored film gives critical voice to leading cultural luminaries and regular folks alike, yielding a view of a "Celtic Tiger" that was then a markedly different social animal.
